Bio:

Christina von Flach is an Associate Professor at the Federal University of Bahia - UFBA since 1990. She was the first Director and now is a permanent member of the Computer Science Graduate Program (PGCOMP) at UFBA. She holds a PhD degree in Computer Science from the Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro. Her research work lies in the scope of software architecture, software evolution, and software quality, with recent emphasis on socio-technical aspects of open-source software ecosystems, software ecosystem health, and software engineering education. She has published more than 100 referred scientific papers, which received more than 2000 citations (Google Scholar H-index 24). She is a senior member of the IEEE and a member of the Brazilian Computing Society and was the head of the Research Chamber of Computer Science at FAPESB - The Bahia State Research Foundation. She has more than 30 years of teaching experience in computer science undergraduate courses and mentoring undergraduate students and more than ten years of mentoring graduate students. Since 2003, she has been the head researcher of the Software Design and Evolution group (aside@ufba).
