Darja Šmite is a Professor of Software Engineering at Blekinge Institute of Technology in Sweden and a part-time research scientist at SINTEF in Norway. Her research explores the human and organizational sides of software development, including distributed and hybrid work, global collaboration, agile methodologies, and the adoption of generative AI in engineering practice.
