PhD. In Human Centered Design for Financial Inclusion and FinTech from Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati, India. My PhD. is motivated from the event of Demonetization and Initiatives around Digital Payments, Less-cash India and Financial Inclusion and explores the factors which influence the Acceptance and Adoption of Mobile Financial Services (MFS) especially Mobile Payments/Mobile Money among the Low Income Population in urban India. The thesis suggest a framework combining Human/User-Centered Design (H/UCD) and Technology Adoption Model (TAM) for a Pro-poor Mobile Financial Service built around their day to day financial needs and transaction behaviour for higher acceptance and adoption. The thesis also suggests eleven inclusive features which could help in self motivated acceptance and adoption of these services leading the marginalized unbanked low income population under the ambit of Financial Inclusion without any Push or Force.
