Waqar Hussain is a Post-Doctoral research fellow in the Faculty of Information Technology, Monash University. Waqar obtained his PhD degree in Software Engineering from Auckland University of Technology in 2016 and joined Monash in Dec 2017. Waqar is currently working on Values Based Software Engineering (VBSE) project which is about understanding how human values are embedded into software. This project aims to understand the complex relationship between humans and software with the aim to develop techniques, tools and guidelines that help in aligning the software we develop with our values and societal norms. Waqar’s research background includes Requirements Engineering, Collaborative Software Development, and contemporary software engineering methodologies such as Agile, Lean, Continuous Delivery and (Global) DevOps. Waqar is a practically oriented researcher but actively teaches students of Software Engineering and carries out research in the field of computing education.
