CASCON 2025 Code of Conduct
In keeping with the IEEE Policy Against Discrimination and Harassment, CASCON 2025 is committed to providing a welcoming space for all attendees.
A primary goal of CASCON 2025 is to foster a thriving community of software practitioners, developers, researchers, industry leaders, and policymakers who share knowledge, explore new technologies, exchange insights, investigate emerging trends, and showcase next-generation prototypes and solutions. Creating a welcoming and respectful environment begins with recognizing the intrinsic value of every individual and group. It also requires actively promoting dignity, understanding, mutual respect, and a commitment to diversity.
In this spirit, CASCON 2025 is committed to providing an inclusive and harassment-free experience for all participants—whether attending our events or engaging through official communication channels, including social media. We aim to ensure that every participant feels welcomed, valued, respected, and safe. Harassment, intimidation, or any form of unwelcome or disruptive behavior will not be tolerated, as such conduct undermines the opportunity for full participation in our conference and community.
All CASCON 2025 participants are expected to act professionally and contribute to a respectful, inclusive, and safe environment for everyone—including attendees, organizers, volunteers, speakers, sponsors, venue staff, and exhibitors—across all conference spaces and events, formal or informal.
Please treat others with respect and courtesy, be mindful of cultural differences, focus criticism on ideas, not individuals, and avoid discriminatory, harassing, or demeaning speech or behavior.
Unacceptable conduct includes intimidation, disruption, stalking, inappropriate physical contact, unwelcome sexual attention, or use of sexual imagery.
Harassment—verbal, physical, or written—based on race, gender, sexual orientation, disability, religion, or any protected characteristic will not be tolerated.
Anyone witnessing a dangerous situation or violations of the code of conduct, however inconsequential, should notify someone on the CASCON 2025 organizing committee through the registration desk or venue staff or security, and/or report the incident to IEEE (eventconduct@ieee.org). If you feel that you or someone around you is in immediate danger, please dial 911 on your phone.
An individual violating these standards may be sanctioned or excluded from further participation at CASCON, without refund, at the discretion of the event organizers. Violations that are reported to IEEE will be investigated and may result in further sanctions (IEEE Policy Against Discrimination and Harassment).
