Visa Information
All foreign visitors entering the Republic of Korea must hold a valid passport and obtain an appropriate Korean visa prior to travel.
Nationals of countries eligible for visa-free entry are required to obtain a K-ETA (Korea Electronic Travel Authorization) before departure.
K-ETA has been in effect since October 2021. Please ensure that you carefully check whether you require a Korean visa or a K-ETA prior to making travel arrangements.
※ Since July 1, 2020, the Embassy of the Republic of Korea has issued a Confirmation of Visa Issuance in place of a visa label as an official entry permit.

Guideline for K-ETA (Korea Electronic Travel Authorization)
- K-ETA assessment may take more than 72 hours due to an unexpected increase in applications or other circumstances. Participants are advised to apply for K-ETA with sufficient time.
- The K-ETA remains valid for three years or until the passport expiration date, whichever comes first. You may use the K-ETA multiple times during its validity period, with each visit subject to the visa-free stay duration.
- Please note that an approved K-ETA does not guarantee entry into the Republic of Korea. The final decision will be made by a Korea Immigration Service officer at the port of entry.
- If you submit inaccurate or false information on your K-ETA application, your approval may be denied or cancelled. Please carefully review your application before submitting it.
