Travel Grants

Call for applications

We are pleased to announce a travel grant for students to attend ISEC 2024. This is meant to encourage outstation students studying in technical institutions in India to attend the conference. Each travel grant covers:

1. Travel expenses, against travel booking receipts, subject to a maximum of Rs. 3,000. Students who are presenting in any track can be supported an additional Rs. 5,000, against receipts. Travel ticket MUST be from the town/city of the college of the student to Bangalore. Return back from Bangalore to the same town/city is also admissible.

2. Only bus, train (up to AC 2 tier), and economy class flight is admissible.

Travel grant recipients may be requested to help with volunteering activities at the conference. Tasks may include working at the registration desk, helping session chairs, etc. Overall time commitment will be less than 7 hrs. over the entire conference period.

Eligibility Criteria:

1. Full-time students enrolled in a College/Institute/University in India.

2. The college/institute/university must be outside Bangalore. The official address of the college/institute/university in its official letterhead/website should not mention the city as “Bangalore”.

3. Applicant must be registered for ISEC 2024 before applying for the grant.

Note:

Student participants seeking travel grants will have to fill up hard-copy travel grant forms at the conference registration desk at the end of the conference along with the following documents:

1. Travel ticket copies
2. College ID card
3. Permission to attend the conference from their institution on institute letterhead signed by the appropriate authority

Further, student applicants will be required to mark themselves present in the attendance sheet at the registration desk on both days of the conference.
