Although the soundness and the importance of the contribution are critical in any research article, the quality of the presentation is also important. Language plays a crucial role in our lives and can be extremely influential when used in research documents. Often, word choices are made unconsciously and might reflect preconceived and wrongful notions that the researchers do not mean. The ICPC community researches both human activities for comprehending the software and technologies for supporting such comprehension. Hence, as a community, we should make a conscious effort to improve our presentation and discuss the appropriate language in our research papers.
