Technical product development is part of Liebherr Aerospace’s DNA and a key factor in the company’s global success. Currently, human resources remain constrained by the traditional development process. Therefore, a disruptive transformation is being implemented at Liebherr-Aerospace to establish a new way of working. In the future, the two sites Lindenberg and Toulouse will move from a document-centric product development to a model- and PLM-centric approach, and therefore evolving to be a model-based enterprise. For Liebherr Aerospace, a model-based enterprise is more than just product development. We define it as a single source of information for all our employees, customers and suppliers involved in the development, manufacture and maintenance of our products. We have adopted this concept strategically to promote the excellence of our employees and products by streamlining the processes and tools used in our company, thus giving our employees more time and freedom to develop their talents.
