Dr. Seok-Won Lee is a Full Professor in the Department of Software and Computer Engineering at Ajou University, Republic of Korea, where he has been on the faculty since 2012. He has served as the founding Chair of the Department of Applied Artificial Intelligence, founding Dean of the Graduate School of Software, and Vice President for International Affairs at Ajou University.
Prior to joining Ajou University, he was a faculty member in the Department of Information Systems & Cyber Security at the University of Texas at San Antonio, and in the Department of Software and Information Systems at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. Before his academic appointments, he was a research staff member at Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC, Northern Virginia) and the IBM T.J. Watson Research Center (Hawthorne Lab, New York).
His research specializations include Software Engineering, with expertise in ontological requirements engineering and domain modeling, and Knowledge Engineering, focusing on knowledge acquisition, machine learning, knowledge-based systems, and software information assurance.
