Bio:

Dr. Priyamvada (Pia) Tripathi is Professor and Program Coordinator for Artificial Intelligence at Durham College. Dr. Tripathi designs and builds adaptive, human-aligned AI agents that bridge cognitive science and machine learning to augment human potential in health, education, and creativity. Her PhD research at Arizona State University modeled creativity through sociometric analysis of team interaction. At Durham College, she leads applied projects like Dietra (an RL-powered health coach) and develops experiential AI education through initiatives such as Agentic AI and AskPiA, an AI co-thinker for research and learning.
