Dr. Harry Direen has over 40 years of experience as an engineer designing, developing, and innovating systems in the electronics and software industry. He received a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Colorado with focus on learning-based control systems. He received a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of California, Irvine. He is a licensed professional engineer in Colorado. He is an engineering consultant and owner of DireenTech Inc.
Dr. Direen worked with the Air Force Academy’s Unmanned Aerial Systems research group designing and developing autonomous control systems, image processing systems, and navigation systems for drones. He has been involved in the designed and development of portions of Magnetic Resonant Imaging (MRI) systems. He has taught engineering courses at the US Air Force Academy and at the University of Colorado, Colorado Springs. He has been an expert witness testifying in complex patent infringement cases. He is a named inventor on multiple patents.
