Bio:

I am a BCS Chartered IT Professional and my current industry role is to grow and advance MASS’ Software Development capability in line with company strategy. This role involves management of the software development, product management, and research teams and has full P&L accountability for a portfolio of customers. Whilst completing a PhD in Software Engineering and Design I was awarded the AOUG Will Swann Award for Innovation and Knowledge Development in 2021. My primary skills are technical management, software architecture, software engineering and design, software integration, Java/J2EE development, relational databases, as well as line management, coaching, and mentoring. I have worked extensively with agile, scaled agile, and waterfall in defence and logistics. User Experience and DevOps have become areas of interest having witnessed the difference they can make to software development outcomes. In addition, I am a part-time Associate Lecturer in Software Engineering and the IT Project for The Open University.
