Lwin Khin Shar is an Associate Professor in the School of Computing and Information Systems at Singapore Management University, Singapore. He received his Ph.D. degree in Software Engineering from Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore in 2014. He was a postdoctoral research associate at SnT of the University of Luxembourg and then a research scientist at NTU. His research interests span software engineering, security & privacy, and machine learning, while specializing in analysis of web & mobile applications and recently cyber-physical systems for detecting security vulnerabilities, privacy issues, malware, and anomalies. He is author or coauthor of more than 40 research papers published in international journals and conferences/workshops, including top venues (e.g., IEEE-TSE, IEEE-TDSC, EMSE, JSS, Computers & Security, ICSE, FSE, ASE). In his research, he often collaborates with industry partners spanning from healthcare and traffic management to Government sectors.
