Monalessa Perini Barcellos received her Ph.D. degree in Systems and Computer Engineering from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. She is an associate professor at the Computer Science Department of the Federal University of Espírito Santo, Brazil, where she is a senior member of the Ontology and Conceptual Modeling Research Group (NEMO) and co-coordinator of the “Ricardo de Almeida Falbo” Software Engineering Practices Laboratory (LabES). Her main research interests include Software Engineering, Ontology Engineering, and Ontology applied to Software Engineering and Human-Computer Interaction. Topics on which she has worked in the last years include, among others: Software Process, Software Quality, Software Measurement, Software Project Management, Agile Development, Continuous Software Engineering, Ontologies applied to Software Engineering, Ontologies applied to Human-Computer Interaction, Semantic Interoperability, and Ontology Engineering.
