Name:Giuseppe Destefanis
Bio:

My main area of research is Empirical Software Engineering (ESE), with a focus on improving software quality and the overall software developer experience. I am a core member of the Brunel Software Engineering Laboratory (BSEL) and a member of the Intelligent Data Analysis (IDA) group. My research involves investigating software repositories to gain insights into the development process using data (both source code and any other information written by developers) generated during the software development process. Specifically, I use source code to generate metrics and detect development patterns to improve bug-prediction models, and comments written by developers to understand the human aspects of software engineering and improve teams’ productivity and the overall quality of the software development process.
