MOBILESoft 2025 App Track

The 12th International Conference on Mobile Software Engineering and Systems (MOBILESoft 2025) introduces a new App Track.

The goal of this track is to showcase innovative mobile apps and discuss the latest trends in mobile app development. We invite developers, companies, and practitioners to present their recent work, share insights into modern development practices, and explore emerging technologies, frameworks, and paradigms that shape the future of mobile software engineering.

Scope and Topics

The App Track is designed to provide:

• Presentations of cutting-edge mobile apps across various domains
• discussions on future plans and visions related to mobile development by companies
• Insights into modern app development practices and methodologies
• explorations of the latest technologies, frameworks, and paradigms in mobile app development
• Sharing experiences on challenges and solutions in developing mobile apps

• Submission Deadline: December 6th 2024 (AoE)
• Notification of Acceptance: January 17th 2025 (AoE)
• Camera-Ready Deadline: February 5th 2025 (AoE)

Call for Papers

Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:

• Innovative mobile app case study
• Adoption of new frameworks and development tools (how they integrate)
• cross-platform development strategies
• cross-language development strategies
• integration of emerging technologies (e.g., AI, AR/VR, IoT, etc.) in mobile apps
• user experience and user interface design advancements
• performance optimization techniques
• security and privacy considerations in app development

Submission Guidelines

We welcome submissions in the form of extended abstracts:

• Length: up to 2 pages (including references).
• Format: Submissions must conform to the IEEE conference proceedings template (title in 24pt font and full text in 10pt type, LaTeX users must use \documentclass[10pt,conference]{IEEEtran} without including the compsoc or compsocconf options). Note that IEEE format is being used this year, whereas last year it was ACM format. Hence, the appearance will differ from year to year.
• Anonymity: The App Track will employ a double-anonymous review process.

All submissions must be in PDF format.

Important Dates

Review Process

Submissions will be reviewed by members of the App Track Program Committee based on:

• Relevance: align with the track’s mobile app development and innovation focus
• Quality: clarity of presentation, depth of insights, and practical applicability
• Innovation: originality of the app or development approach
• Impact: potential influence on the mobile software engineering community

Presentation

Accepted submissions will be invited for a presentation during the App Track sessions at MOBILESoft 2025.

Presenters will have the opportunity to:

• demonstrate their apps live or via demos
• engage with conference attendees during Q&A sessions.
• network with industry professionals and researchers
