The SANER 2025 Banquet will take place at Le Balcon, a dynamic performance hall within the historic Saint James United Church, located at 463 Sainte-Catherine O., downtown Montreal. This venue blends modern elegance with rich heritage, offering a unique and memorable setting.

Historical Significance

Built in 1889, this National Historic Site is a masterpiece of Gothic Revival architecture, designed by Alexander Francis Dunlop. A 2005 restoration revealed its grand façade and added a public square, seamlessly merging history with modern accessibility. The church features:

  • A Casavant Frères organ
  • A striking World War I memorial window by Charles William Kelsey
  • Historical significance as the founding place of the first YMCA in North America
  • Important role in the women's suffrage movement in the early 20th century

Townhall Meeting and Reception

Time: 5th March, 16:00 - 22:00

Location: Atrium Lassonde (M-3500)

Join us for the SANER 2025 townhall meeting where we'll discuss important community matters and the future directions of software analysis and evolution research. This open forum provides an opportunity for all attendees to share their thoughts and participate in shaping our community.

Following the townhall, stay for our main social event and reception (from 17:00) where you can network and connect with fellow SANER attendees in a relaxed setting. This extended evening reception provides the perfect atmosphere to build lasting professional relationships and continue conversations in an informal environment.

Dinner and refreshments will be served during the reception portion. All conference attendees are welcome to both the townhall meeting and reception.

Social Activities

Ice Skating

This will be held on the 5th of March from 8:00 PM to 10:00 PM. Further details will be made available as the conference approaches.

Soccer Game

The soccer game will be held on the 7th of March from 8:30 PM to 10:00 PM at Socceroof Hochelaga, 5498 Rue Hochelaga, Montreal.
