Judith Michael is a PostDoc and team leader at the Software Engineering chair of Prof. Dr. Bernhard Rumpe at RWTH Aachen University, a member of the supervisory board of the Lakeside Science & Technology Park GmbH, Austria (since 2016), and a member of the executive committee (Präsidium) of the German Informatics Society e.V. (GI).
Her research focuses on the engineering of complex, long-lasting, software-intensive systems within various application domains in an integrated approach with different disciplines. She has experience in software language engineering, the engineering of digital twins, and the model-driven software engineering of information and assistive systems.
Her Ph.D. thesis (Alpen-Adria-Universität Klagenfurt, Austria, 2014) was about Cognitive Modeling for Ambient Assistance. In 2015, she was appointed as a Junior Fellow of the German Informatics Society e.V. (GI). She was a member of the Application Engineering Research Group of Prof. Heinrich C. Mayr at Alpen-Adria-Universität Klagenfurt (2011-2017), lecturer at the M/O/T (Alpen-Adria-School of Management, Organizational Development, and Technology) in the university-level program IT Business Solutions (2014-2016), and a member of the supervisory board of the Carinthian Tech Research AG (CTR, Austria), a research center for intelligent sensors (2014-2015).
