Bio:

Abdiel Labrado Flores earned his degree in Virtual Environments and Digital Business Engineering from the Universidad Tecnológica del Centro de Veracruz (UTCV) in 2023, where he also completed an associate degree (Técnico Superior Universitario) in the same field. In both programs, he graduated with honors, ranking first in his cohort. He is currently pursuing a Master’s in Computer Systems at the Instituto Tecnológico de Orizaba, where his research focuses on the use of serious games as tools for learning and cognitive development.

His academic and professional trajectory has been shaped by technological innovation and research. He was co-author and presenter at the 5th Conference on Computer Science and Computer Engineering, held as part of the VIII International Research Congress (CI2T 2022), with the paper Design and Implementation of a Virtual Environment Using Leap Motion Control as a Practice Alternative During COVID-19. He was also a member of the winning team in the Electronic Voting Machine Prototype Design Contest organized by OPLE Veracruz, where they developed and delivered a functional prototype in November 2022.

As part of his undergraduate thesis project, he contributed to the development of Yolotol: A Digital Ecosystem to Identify the Socio-Emotional Impact of the COVID-19 Pandemic on Primary School Children, a serious game presented at ExpoCiencias Veracruz 2022.

His interest in human behavior analysis has been a constant source of inspiration, driving him to create technological solutions that promote positive social impact. His current research focuses on the development of a virtual reality-based serious game designed to strengthen cognitive skills and support mathematical learning in elementary school children.
