Bio:

I am an Associate Professor of Software Engineering at the University of Oulu, Finland, and a member of the M3S research group and Software Engineering and Information Systems unit. I also serve as Program Director of the NJIT–Oulu School of Software Engineering double-degree program. My research focuses on human aspects of software engineering, cognitive biases, creativity, and decision-making. I also investigate responsible AI and human–AI collaboration in software development. I hold a PhD from the University of Oulu and an MSc from Lancaster University. Through my teaching and supervision, I connect software engineering principles with practical challenges, emphasizing critical thinking and human-centered approaches.
