Taher is an Assistant Professor in the Computer Science Department at Trent University. He received his PhD from Queen’s University, Canada, where he was awarded the prestigious Ontario Trillium Scholarship. Following his PhD, he worked as a Senior Research Scientist at the University of Toronto and as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the University of Ottawa. His research addresses complex Software Engineering challenges using data science and AI techniques. Taher has (co)authored more than 45 papers in top-tier journals and conferences and holds seven US patents. He has contributed to various research projects, collaborating with academic and industrial partners locally and globally. He is eager to dedicate his efforts to advancing impactful scientific research, teaching, mentoring students, and fostering future academic and industrial collaborations.
