Name: Jácome Cunha
Bio: Currently, I’m an Assistant Professor at Universidade Nova de Lisboa, Department of Informatics, and an integrated member of the research center NOVA LINCS.
My research is mainly focused in helping end-user developers being more effective and efficient when developing their software systems. To this end I use techniques both from the Programming Languages and Software Engineering communities. In particular, I have made several contributions to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of spreadsheet end-users. More recently I have started working in improving software energy consumption through the analysis and transformation of its source code.
I obtained my PhD degree in Computer Science from Universidade do Minho in 2011. Afterwards I was a post-doctoral fellow jointly at Universidade do Minho and Oregon State University. I was also an Invited Professor at one of the schools of Instituto Politécnico do Porto.
