Hi! My name is Yaroslav, and I am a research administrator and data analyst at JetBrains Research.
In 2018 I graduated from ITMO University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Applied Physics. In 2020 I graduated from the same university with a Master’s Degree in Laser Technologies. I also have an unfinished Bachelor’s Degree in Philosophy from Herzen University.
In my work, I support the fantastic researchers of JetBrains Research, both administratively and academically — by helping them frame their research, write papers, and network in the community. When I used to carry out my own research, I focused on large-scale empirical studies about code clones, OSS licenses, refactorings, test smells, and SE ecosystems in general.
My main interests outside the field of work are writing poetry, learning philosophy, history, linguistics, and studying the Chinese language.
