CHASE 2023 Mentoring Workshop
Following up on the success of previous CHASE mentoring programs, we are offering an extended mentoring program at CHASE 2023. We invite all authors of paper submissions to encourage their students to join the mentoring session if it could be beneficial to them in 2023 (students must be a co-author on a submission to be eligible to sign up). Authors of rejected papers are also invited to participate in the mentoring workshop.
CHASE 2023 PC members are invited to express interest in joining the mentoring workshop as mentors.
Areas of interests should align with the CHASE 2023 general call for research submissions related to empirical studies, models, methods, and tools for human aspects of software engineering.
The mentoring session will have two possible options, as follows:
- CHASE General: skills development, goal setting/career planning, specific problem solving, networking, any other interests.
- CHASE Authorship: guidance and support for developing manuscripts for CHASE publications.
Important dates for expressions
- Call for mentees deadline (students/mentees): Mon 27 March 2023 (AoE)
- Call for mentors deadline (PC members): Mon 3 April 2023 (AoE)
Workshop format and date
We would like to offer you the opportunity to discuss your research with authors and junior academics in the same situation and experienced CHASE community members.
We hope to arrange a hybrid (in-person and online) mentoring event if there is interest in both options from mentors and mentees. We will make a final decision depending on numbers later.
Details on the date of the event will follow in due course, and will aim to accommodate participants in different time zones.
Please send expressions (mentee and mentors) directly to the CHASE 2023 Mentoring Workshop organizers, at chase2023mentor@gmail.com.
