Call for Industry talks

Industrial practitioners are invited to submit talk proposals to the Industry Talk Track of the ICGSE 2018. This track seeks presentations about significant real-world issues related to global software engineering faced by industrial practitioners with or without practical solutions reported. We look for practical solutions that have helped to solve significant issues, experience with addressing issues and new challenges faced by industry practitioners that require help.

Topics of Interest

The topics of interest include but are not limited to (see more detailed list on the ICGSE 2018 main page ICGSE):

  • Global Business Strategy
  • Distributed Teams and Projects
  • Agile and Lean in Global Projects
  • Sourcing Models and Experiences
  • Collaboration Tools

How to Submit a Proposal

If you would like to join us and share your experience in a 15 minutes long conference presentation, please, prepare a 2-slide proposal containing one slide with your photo and the summary of relevant experience, and second slide with a summary of the proposed talk. Note, that the second slide shall clearly state the title of your talk and the main carry-away message; instead of adding an abstract text, consider placing a figure or a sample of the data to be shown during the presentation. For submissions, see the submission link in the sidebar.

Important Dates

  • February 15, 2018 - Deadline for Industry Talks proposals (2 slides)

The decision will be announced as soon as your proposal will be reviewed, but not later than March 15, 2018.

In the conference program, industry talks will be blended with academic and experience report presentations to provide a forum for idea and experiences exchange.

The content of the talk will not be included in the conference proceedings. For those, who would like to contribute with a written summary of your experience, please, submit to Experience Report Track, where your submission will be considered for publication after blinded peer-review by the Program Committee.
