Social and Cultural Activities

At ICT4S we have a number of social and cultural events planned:

• Visit to the Book of Kells (9th Century Gospel Manuscript) at Trinity College Dublin (Founded 1592).
• Tour of Georgian Dublin and Guinness Brewery.
• Visit to the 18th Century Powerscourt Estate and Gardens (20 Km from Dublin) and Whiskey Distillery. Tasting and tour included.
• An evening of Craic and Ceol (Fun and Music) at a typical Irish Pub.
• Visit to Newgrange UNESCO World heritage site. Neolithic (3,200 B.C) Astronomical analogue computer.
• Visit to Connemara (Atlantic coast) and the Burren Smokehouse Organic Salmon producer and restaurant.
• Music performance by members of the UCD Symphony Orchestra.
• Tickets to a Gaelic Football and Hurling match at Croke Park (85,000 capacity)
