The international conference series ICT4S (The International Conference on Information and Communications Technology for Sustainability) is devoted to covering all types of research, developments, and applications of ICT to support sustainability. The conference brings together leading researchers in ICT for Sustainability with government and industry representatives, decision and policy makers, students, artists and the general public.

In 2023, the 9th edition of ICT4S is coming for the first time in France, and is organized in Rennes, June 5th-10th, 2023. The conference offers an exciting research program presenting the cutting edge research results (main conference, 7 workshops, doctoral symposium, posters and demonstrations). In addition to the research program, ICT4S 2023 also features an extensive OFF! Program including a debate in a pub, a quiz, art performances, a panel, a hackathon, and several keynotes.

The 9th International Conference on ICT for Sustainability (ICT4S 2023) is organized by the CNRS, and hosted by the University of Rennes, on the Beaulieu campus in Rennes, Brittany, France.

With the main objectives of building the research community, cross-fertilizing with other communities (e.g., policy makers, practitioners, artists and the general public) and accelerating research results, ICT4S 2023 will be predominantly in-person. The conference will foster interactions and exchanges both in the research program and as part of the comprehensive OFF! Program where other communities (e.g., practitioners, policy makers, artists, etc.) will be engaged. Sustainability is of primary interest in the context of an in-person event, with a specific sustainability chair in the organizing committee. A dedicated page presents all our actions for sustainability. Note that vouchers for attending and presenting online will be provided for everyone facing exceptional situations, i.e. for those facing circumstances beyond their control occurring after they committed to the conference, that prevent the person from traveling and attending the conference.
