Predictions are often wrong, especially about the future. But if we were to take a bet on the future, what technologies might we see? LLM, deep learning, sure, but what ELSE is out there? This talk will focus on three leading edge and three bleeding edge trends:

• leading edge = data mining, optimization, theorem proving

• bleeding edge = fairness, semi-supervised learning, knowledge curation
