Name:Sumon Biswas

I am a Postdoctoral Researcher at Institute for Software Research (ISR), Carnegie Mellon University. My research interest lies in the intersection of Software Engineering (SE) and Artificial Intelligence (AI). With a particular focus on the SE for AI area, I improved algorithmic fairness and safety of ML-enabled software. My prior works proposed fairness verification and causal analysis techniques for ML models. I also worked on large-scale mining and program analysis techniques for ML software. My recent works identified a new set of technical debts in open-source ML programs and their impacts on LLMs. Currently, I am working of long-term safety of ML-enabled systems and making them more sustainable.
