Ilham Ahmed Qasse received her bachelor’s (B.Sc.) and master’s (M.Sc.) degrees from the University of Sharjah in United Arab Emirates. Her B.Sc. degree was in computer engineering and her M.Sc. degree in computer science. Currently, she is a Ph.D. student in computer science at Reykjavik University. Her interests are in blockchain technology, particularly in smart contracts and software engineering. Ilham worked on projects on blockchain performance and quality analysis. Moreover, she worked on projects on blockchain applications in smart cities with the integration of artificial intelligence. Her master thesis project topic was to design and implement inter-blockchain communication between homogenous blockchain platforms. Furthermore, Ilham worked on the iContract project which is a project that aims to facilitate smart contract development for non-technical users and domain experts.
