Transportation

Trondheim has an international airport, Trondheim Lufthavn Værnes (TRD), located approximately 30 minutes from the city center. The airport offers frequent connections to some of the major European hubs.

Reaching the city center

From the airport, the city center can be reached using different transportation options:

• Train – Convenient option to reach the conference venue. You can use the local bus ticket (AtB), or you can purchase the train ticket at the automated machine close to the tracks at the airport. Get off at “Trondheim S”, exit the train station, turn left, take the stairs or elevator to reach the other side (fjord side) of the station, and Clarion Hotel is 300 m to the right.
• Shuttle Bus – Værnes Express offers a shuttle bus service to and from the airport. The closest stop to the venue is “Olav Tryggvasons gate”, which is about 15 minutes walking distance.
• Taxi – Taxi can be found outside the airport. Trøndertaxi offers a less expensive shared airport taxi option, which however needs to be booked in advance.

Within the city

You can find information on bus routes and other public transportation options on the website of AtB, the local bus company. You can buy bus tickets directly in their mobile app. Entur is also a useful resource for public transportation within Norway.
