Abstract

In this new ideas paper, we give an architectural description of a novel ethics-based negotiation approach in which autonomous systems utilize users’ ethical profiles to control their autonomy while negotiating to reach an agreement that satisfies the ethical preferences of all parties involved. Our preliminary validation gives initial evidence of the approach viability.
