News Items
The early-bird deadline for ESEM 2022 has been extended. While we are constantly receiving many successful registrations, we are aware of registration problems for some attendees.
Due to these registration system problems, the early registration rates are available for an additional week to ensure that those who have not been able to register can do so at the lower rate.
The early-bird rates are now available until 12 August 2022 at 23:59 (AoE).
You can register here.
We are working with our registration system provider to locate and address the problems leading to some registrations not going through. Unfortunately, there is more than one class of problem and reproducing them to track down the cause has proven to be difficult. A system update is forthcoming, but meanwhile, we ask for your patience in registering and offer the following suggestions:
- Problems have occurred for some users of the Safari Browser on Mac OS. We recommend that you use Firefox or Chrome instead.
- If you get an error message with the text “An error has occurred please try again shortly” (in multiple languages), please close your browser and try again later. You may have to reload the page multiple times.
- If you have problems in the payment stage, there can be multiple causes since there are many parties involved in the payment transaction. Check that your credit card security settings permit payments to the EU region and, if your bank has country-specific restrictions, to Finland. These settings are typically found in your internet bank or through other means provided by your card-issuing bank.
- You may also consider trying a different credit card, if possible.
If you have not been able to register despite trying multiple times, please contact the organisers for assistance (eseiw2022@aalto.fi or using the contact form on this site).
We would like to remind you that the special room rate at the conference hotel is available until 15 August 2022. See the Accommodation page for details.
Thank you for your patience and sincere apologies for the inconveniece.

We are still hoping to be able to arrange ESEIW 2022 as a fully on-site event.
However, we continue to follow the developing pandemic and security situation in Finland and globally. We will reassess the situation and update the plans if necessary.
Our intent is not to let either of the above issues stop researchers from participating in the conference and getting their papers presented and published.
In case of any questions or concerns, please send a message to eseiw2022@list.aalto.fi
The abstract deadline is close: it is on April 25th, 11:59PM, AOE.
