Rob is a Machine Learning Research Scientist who focuses on applied problems that use data science methods to learn about domain specific problems. Prior to joining the SEI, Rob worked in the CMU Robotics Institute applying computer vision to aircraft maintenance, medical imaging, and radiation safety. . From 2009-2019 Rob was a Senior Research Scientist at Adventium Labs (Now Galois Inc) working on model based engineering problems. Rob holds a BS in Mathematics and a BS in Computer Science from Michigan Technological University, a MS in Mathematics from University of Minnesota, and a PhD in Mathematics from University of Minnesota.
