Call for Contributions
The goal of Industry Talks is to share experiences related to the industrial applications of software engineering in AI-enabled systems and to convey lessons learned from applying various techniques and practices in the field. This submission category is exclusively open to individuals who are willing to share practical insights gained directly from their professional experiences.
We are inviting practitioner-oriented talks on topics that are expected to be relevant to both industry professionals and academic attendees. Talk proposals must include a brief abstract (up to 150 words), a list of keywords (up to 8), and a “talk description” that elaborates on the content of the talk, emphasizes its key points, and explains why it is relevant and significant to the software engineering community (up to 500 words).
Optionally, this description can be submitted as a two-page long extended abstract which will be included in the CAIN’25 proceedings. Submissions must conform to the IEEE conference proceedings template, specified in the IEEE Conference Proceedings Formatting Guidelines (title in 24pt font and full text in 10pt type, LaTeX users must use \documentclass[10pt,conference]{IEEEtran} without including the compsoc
or compsocconf
options).
Regarding the CAIN 2025 proceedings:
-
The official publication date is the date the proceedings are made available in the ACM or IEEE Digital Libraries. This date may be up to two weeks prior to the first day of ICSE 2025. The official publication date affects the deadline for any patent filings related to published work.
-
Purchase of additional pages in the proceedings is not allowed.
In addition, please include up to 10 slides that represent the content of your talk. Submissions should also include title, name, affiliation, and a short bio of the speaker. Talk proposals can also include supporting supplemental materials such as white papers or videos. The length of your talk should be 15 minutes.
The submitted proposals will be reviewed by the Industry Track Committee.
