Dr. Badreddin is a faculty member at the Computer Science Department at the University of Texas. His research is focused on understanding the fundamentals of software design with the goal of uncovering the impact of design on software maintainability and sustainability. His research explores opportunities to reduce software and data complexities, and the complexity of the tools used for software development and data management. This involves exploration of novel design languages and methodologies and investigations to evaluate their effectiveness. He investigates research software; software that is developed by scientists and researchers. He is the principal investigator behind Susereum, a Blockchain based platform that awards immutable credit for research software contributions.
