Currency

The Colombian peso (sign: $; code: COP) is the currency of Colombia. Its ISO 4217 code is COP. The official peso symbol is $, with COL$ also being used to distinguish it from other peso- and dollar-denominated currencies.

Voltage and Power Outlet

In Colombia the power plugs and sockets are of type A and B. The standard voltage is 110 V and the standard frequency is 60 Hz.

Visa

If you require a visa invitation letter in Spanish, please email the General Chairs ASAP with the following information: full name, date of birth, passport number, passport date of issue, passport date of expiry, passport place of issue, job title, and attach a copy of your conference registration receipt.

Do I need a visa to attend ICSME in Colombia?

Holders of passports issued by the states, territories or international subjects that are in List A and List B, or those that appear in List C and hold a Visa or Residency in the United States or EU or are Schengen permit holders do NOT need to request a visa as long as the activities they carry out do not generate payments for services, wages or salaries in Colombia. If your country is listed on List C, please contact the Colombian embassy or consulate in your country/area for further clarifications or questions. The activities of professors, lecturers or researchers, invited by academic or research institutions who receive some type of recognition in kind, travel expenses, air tickets, stipends, travel expenses or maintenance by the academic institution that hosts them, will not be considered lucrative.
