Insights from a industry-academia collaboration on large-scale technical debt management
At Visma, managing technical debt has become crucial as we navigate rapid growth and an ever accelerating technological evolution. This talk will delve into our strategies for effectively identifying, quantifying, and prioritizing technical debt across our products and services, and how we have collaborated with key partners from academia to gain insights into our own organization through a comprehensive analysis of our technical debt management practices.
Mili is a technology leader, passionate about software engineering, and leadership. He works on helping organizations and teams within the Visma Group move towards modern software engineering, better technical debt management and quality engineering, utilizing artificial intelligence, continuous delivery, devops practices and public cloud.
He is always looking ahead, keeping an eye on new trends and trying to challenge the status quo of software engineering, while exploring how to utilize learnings from academia, other fields and embed these into software engineering practices.
Currently he also serves as a board member in several software companies around in Europe (Belgium, Poland, Denmark, Estonia), and has led several teams and communities throughout his career with a proven track record of improved productivity, and employee satisfaction.
