Karen da Mata is a Ph.D. student in the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department at the University of Massachusetts—Dartmouth. She received her MS in Computer Engineering from UMassD in 2023 and her BS degree in the Electrical Engineering Department at the Federal University of Ouro Preto, Brazil, in 2018. Her research interests include developing new techniques to automate software testing during development while minimizing the impact of possible failures, as well as implementing quantitative methods to improve system performance and predict failures.
