Autonomous Driving Systems (ADS) are safety-critical Cyber-Physical Systems; thus, they require thorough validation. Currently, scenario-based testing in simulations is the cornerstone of ADS validation. It is less expensive, dangerous, and more controllable and reliable than field testing. Scenario-based testing can systematically assess ADS across diverse and relevant driving situations but requires photorealistic and physically accurate driving simulations, content availability, and the ability to programmatically generate and control new content. The proposed Hands-On Training will illustrate how to use the latest tools and innovations implemented in BeamNG.tech for effective scenario-based testing. With the help of BeamNG staff and research experts, the participants will practice manual and automated scenario-based testing from basic scenario generation to advanced scenario generation techniques. The Hands-On Training targets a relatively broad audience and does not require specific expertise besides some basic (Python) programming skills to cover automated techniques.
