Alexander is a professor of Agile Software Engineering at the University of Applied Sciences Neu-Ulm (HNU), Germany. He received the M.Eng. degree in Electrical and Information Engineering from Coburg University in 2013 and the Dr. phil. in Computer Sciences from the University of Regensburg in 2018. Prior to joining HNU as a professor in 2022, he was an IT Architect at T-Systems International GmbH (2018–2022), a university lecturer at Kempten University of Applied Sciences (2012–2018), and a scientific researcher at the Forschungszentrum Allgäu (2012–2018).
Alexander’s research focuses on combining software engineering principles with practical applications of artificial intelligence. He is particularly interested in methods and tools that facilitate efficient technology transfer between academia and industry, aiming to bridge theoretical insights and agile, industry-ready solutions. Currently, he is actively involved with the Technology-Transfer-Centre (TTZ) Günzburg and the Institute for Digital Transformation (IDT) at HNU, where he contributes to innovative research in AI-driven digital transformation processes.
