Chang-ai Sun is a full professor with the School of Computer and Communication Engineering, University of Science and Technology Beijing (USTB). Currently, Prof. Sun is Vice Dean of Institute for Multidisciplinary Innovation (IMI), Head of Department of Computer Science, Director of Software Engineering Institute, USTB. Before that, he was an assistant professor with Beijing Jiaotong University, China, a postdoctoral fellow with the Swinburne University of Technology, Australia, and a postdoctoral fellow with the University of Groningen, The Netherlands. His research interests include software testing, program analysis, and service-oriented computing. He received the bachelor’s degree in computer science from the University of Science and Technology Beijing, China, and the PhD degree in computer science from Beihang University, China. He is a Senior Member of IEEE and Distinguished Member of China Computer Federation (CCF).
Prof. Sun’s primary research interest is software engineering with an emphasis on software testing, program analysis, and service-oriented computing. Recently, he is devoted to developing novel theories, techniques, and supporting tools for intelligent software development and maintenance. As principal investigator (PI) and one of major investigators, he has finished more than 40 research projects supported by various grants of European Union, Australia, China and Hong Kong. He has published 120+ academic papers in software engineering, filed 9 patents, registered 24 software copyrights, and received 11 national Software Prototype/Service Innovation Awards.
