Bio:

Marcia’s current research is in co-designing a framework for sustainable and responsible innovation in ICT. This framework will include principles, patterns and tools for those working in digital innovation to understand, plan and act on their carbon footprint with the aim to keep the sector’s emissions in line with Paris Agreement targets.

Marcia has a PhD in digital innovation and a Master in Design Management. She has professional experience both as a researcher and design practitioner, specialising in participatory design approaches. Previous research included co-designing an app with older adults to tackle isolation, co-creating wearable prototypes for investigating ways to record and manage anxiety and working with local communities to imagine, design and prototype ideas using digital technology to enhance walks at a local park.
