Cecilia Katzeff is an associate professor in human-computer interaction at the Dep. of Sustainable development, Environmental Science and Engineering, SEED, KTH and a faculty member of Digital Futures. Katzeff holds a PhD in psychology and her research focuses citizens’ role in the energy transition. It includes questions around how people relate to energy in their everyday life and how digital technology and policy development plays a role in this relationship. As the electricity system becomes more and more automated, Katzeff’s research also raises questions on how this affects our homes and the dynamics of households. Linked to this, the research explores the emerging phenomenon of energy communities as an engine in the energy transition, in urban as well as in rural areas of Sweden.
