Matthias Sahli is a postdoctoral researcher at Bern University of Applied Sciences (BFH) in the Department of Business. Previously, he was a postdoctoral research fellow at the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) of the United Nations in Geneva. Matthias Sahli holds a PhD in Economics from the University of Neuchâtel, Switzerland. In 2020, he was a visiting scholar at the Copenhagen Business School (CBS) in Denmark. He has worked as an intern and junior economist at the Swiss Federal Institute of Intellectual Property (IPI). His research and teaching interests lie in the areas of intellectual property, innovation, digitalization, sustainability, applied econometrics and creative industries. His research approach is interdisciplinary and he collaborates with scientists from the fields of cultural industries, data science, law and economics, among others. His research has been published in international journals such as the Journal of Cultural Economics and Industry and Innovation.
