Call for Papers
Industrial Track
The industrial track of PROFES 2023 offers an opportunity for practitioners to present their results in the application of novel product and process-oriented software engineering methods in an industrial context and to deepen the exchange with fellow practitioners as well as members of academia. Software is a key driver of digitization in many industries and enables efficient support of business processes and handling of complex systems, e.g., cyber-physical systems. We seek contributions from industrial and academic researchers on applications of topics related software engineering and systems in practice, sharing their specifics, challenges, successes, and evaluations in all stages of technology readiness levels.
Full Papers
We invite submissions of full papers related to all topics of interest of the conference and are particular interested in collaborations between industry and academia. Although many topics are particular relevant in the manufacturing industry, the call is not limited to this domain. Full paper submissions should provide a clear specification of the problem and context addressed, the applied solution and present lessons learned that highlight the innovation and contribution valuable for others. The page limit for all contributions is 16 pages and have to follow the Springer LNCS styling guidelines. All papers will undergo a double-blind review process and must be submitted in PDF format according to the Submission Procedure.
Industrial Talks
Talk proposals offer the opportunity to present new findings, to highlight success stories or to present unsolved problems and put them up for discussion. Each submission must include a 2 pages extended abstract (must follow the Springer LNCS styling guidelines and outline the topic). Accepted submissions will be presented at the conference in a 15 or 30-minute timeslot. Talk proposals will not be included in the proceedings. Submissions can be sent at any time between until July 15th and will receive a quick notification. Submissions will be evaluated based on their relevance and appropriateness to the intended conference format.
Important Dates
- Abstract (optional): July 15th
- Submission: August 14th
- Notification: September 19th
- Camera ready: September 26th
Submission
Full papers and Industrial talk proposal should be prepared using the Springer LNCS template. The submission Web page for all contributions in PROFES 2023 is: https://easychair.org/my/conference?conf=profes2023
Conference Attendance Expectation
PROFES 2023 will be organized in presence. If a submission is accepted, at least one author must register to the conference and present the paper.
