Several financial support resources are available for graduate students.

SIGSOFT CAPS Program

ACM SIGSOFT provides travel support and childcare assistance at conferences.

The SIGSOFT CAPS program offers three distinct services to support conference attendance:

  • Travel support for graduate students (only open to SIGSOFT student members).
  • Travel support for undergraduate students (open to non-members).
  • Travel support to help defray cost of childcare (open to SIGSOFT student and professional members).

ISSTA Student Travel Grants

ISSTA 2017 offers additional grants for students to cover the registration and on-campus lodging expenses. Majority of student travel funding is sponsored by NSF and is available for students at U.S. institutions. There is also additional student travel funding sponsored by industry sponsors available for all students.

Applications for ISSTA travel support will be evaluated by the ISSTA 2017 organizers and will be coordinated with SIGSOFT CAPS. Priority for these awards will be given to student authors of papers accepted to the technical program of ISSTA 2017 or SPIN 2017, and students who are invited to participate in the ISSTA 2017 Doctoral Symposium.

To apply: (i) send your CV; (ii) include the title of your paper if you are an author of a paper accepted either to the ISSTA 2017, SPIN 2017 or ISSTA 2017 Doctoral Symposium; (iii) please indicate if you are a U.S. citizen or permanent resident.
