The Micro Services Architecture (MSA) is a trend in the software development industry due to favoring the building of applications based on individual components giving systems dynamism, modularity, and distributed development. However, building software u sing MSA implies facing challenges such as inadequate decomposition of services, refactoring, monitoring, and testing, the latter being the focus of this work. This paper is part of another bigger research that seeks to propose an alternative strategy for testing MSA based systems. The paper is a systematic mapping study (SMS) and presents problems and causes related to software testing in the MSA. This SMS adopts established practices in evidence based software engineering.
