Mamoun Nawahdah is an Assistant Professor and former Chair of the Department of Computer Science at Birzeit University, where he has been since 2006. He received a Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) degree from Palestine Polytechnic University in 1998, and a Master of Science (M.S.) in Computing from Birzeit University in 2003. He received his Ph.D. in Information Science from the University of Tsukuba - Japan in 2013. From 1998 to 2006, he worked at several computer companies in USA and Palestine, eventually as a Senior Software Engineer. His research interests span both computer programming and innovative engineering education. Currently he is engaged in Serious Game Development, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), and Teaching/Learning Methodologies.
